about botenz

what is botenz?

botenz is a premium nut butter powder brand. we take real, whole nuts and slowly cold-press most of the natural oil out, so what's left is a clean, flavor-packed powder that mixes into almost anything.

we're the world's first full-range defatted nut butter brand — while other brands stop at peanut, our lineup already includes pistachio, almond, sesame (halva), cashew and peanut cacao, with more flavors on the way.

who is botenz for?

botenz is for people who actually care about what's inside their food. home cooks, parents, wellness-minded adults, and anyone who wants real nut taste without the heaviness of regular nut butter.

it's built for indian kitchens — oats, curd, lassi, smoothies, halva, laddoos, chutneys, baking — not only for gym shakes. if you cook at home and read labels, botenz is for you.

who is behind botenz?

botenz was founded by elad lavi, an israeli athlete and entrepreneur who moved to india and couldn't find clean, honest nut butter products he'd actually want to eat every day. so he built one.

the brand is based in bangalore and launched in december 2025, with a mission to push nut butter beyond peanut — into a full kitchen range of clean, cold-pressed powders.

where is botenz made?

every botenz powder is made in india, in small craft batches. we roast, cold-press, and pack each flavor carefully — no mass production, no shortcuts.

what makes botenz different from other nut butter powders?

most nut powders taste flat and artificial, are sweetened with refined white sugar, processed with heat or chemicals, and packed in plastic. botenz is the opposite of that on every point:

real nut taste — we lead with flavor, not gimmicks. you should actually want to eat it.
naturally sweetened — only coconut sugar. zero refined white sugar, zero artificial sweeteners.
slow cold-press — no heat, no solvents, no chemical extraction.
glass jars — zero microplastics, zero plastic-flavor leaching, fully recyclable.
craft batches — small lots, 4+ hours per batch, carefully roasted, never overheated.
beyond peanut — a full range, so you're not stuck with one flavor forever.

we're not just another peanut powder. we're a cleaner, craft-inspired, taste-first approach to the whole category.

ingredients & how it's made

what ingredients are in botenz?

every botenz powder is made with just 3 natural ingredients: the nut itself (peanut, almond, pistachio, cashew, or sesame), coconut sugar for a touch of natural sweetness, and a pinch of himalayan salt to lift the flavor. that's it.

the only exception is peanut cacao, which has 4 ingredients because it also contains real cacao alongside the peanuts.

no artificial flavors, no preservatives, no refined sugar, no emulsifiers, no fillers, no protein isolates. every jar shows its full ingredient panel so you always know exactly what you're eating.

is there any added sugar in botenz?

no white sugar, ever. the only sweetener we use is coconut sugar — a natural, minimally processed sweetener made from coconut palm nectar. it adds a very small amount of gentle sweetness that lets the real nut flavor come forward.

we don't use refined sugar, sucralose, stevia, maltitol, or any other artificial or sugar-alcohol sweeteners. ever.

how is botenz made? what's the "slow cold-press" process?

we take whole nuts, roast them carefully (never overheated — that's what kills the flavor in most powders), and then slowly cold-press the natural oil out using low pressure and no heat. each batch takes 4+ hours from raw nut to finished jar.

most mass-produced peanut powders rush this step with heat or chemical solvents to save time and money. that's why they end up tasting flat, dusty, or artificial. we slow things down on purpose — the craft process is exactly why botenz actually tastes like the real nut.

no heat damage. no chemical solvents. no industrial shortcuts. small batches, made with care.

are botenz powders lab tested?

yes. every botenz product is independently lab tested at a nabl-accredited laboratory in india for nutritional values, aflatoxins, trans fat, added sugar, and safety parameters — all well within fssai limits. we publish the full test reports openly on our lab tests page.

transparency isn't a marketing line for us. if we say it's clean, we want you to be able to verify it yourself.

is botenz really "clean label"?

yes — and we mean it literally, not as a marketing buzzword. 3 ingredients (4 for peanut cacao). no additives. no preservatives. no refined sugar. no artificial flavors or colors. no emulsifiers. no protein isolates or "protein blends." no synthetic vitamins added in.

just real nuts, a touch of coconut sugar, and himalayan salt. that's the whole product.

nutrition & health

how much less fat is in botenz vs regular nut butter?

botenz powders contain 80–90% less fat than their regular nut butter equivalents, depending on the nut. peanut, almond, pistachio, and peanut cacao are around 90% less fat. cashew and sesame (halva) are around 80% less.

because we press out most of the natural oil, each spoon leans more into the nut's protein, fiber, and minerals — and less into the fat calories.

is botenz a protein powder?

not in the "gym supplement" sense. botenz is a whole-food nut powder — the protein comes from the real nut, not from isolates, concentrates, or engineered protein blends.

because we remove most of the fat, what's left is naturally higher in protein per calorie than regular nut butter. lab tests on our peanut powder show nearly 49g of protein per 100g, which is a lot for a whole-food ingredient. but the goal isn't to replace a protein shake — it's to upgrade your everyday meals with real nutrition.

is botenz vegan, gluten-free, and kosher?

yes to all three. botenz is 100% vegan, naturally gluten-free (no wheat, no gluten-containing ingredients), kosher parve (certified by badatz beit yosef and the chief rabbinate of israel), non-gmo, and made from 100% natural ingredients.

does botenz contain any allergens?

botenz products contain tree nuts and/or peanuts depending on the flavor. our powders are produced in a facility that handles tree nuts and peanuts. if you have a nut allergy, botenz is not for you.

flavors & range

what flavors does botenz make?

our current lineup includes peanut, almond, pistachio, cashew, peanut cacao, and halva (sesame). we're always expanding — more flavors are on the way.

no other brand in the world offers this kind of range in defatted nut powder form. pistachio, sesame, and cashew powders especially don't exist anywhere else at this quality.

what does each flavor taste like?

peanut — the classic, familiar peanut taste, just lighter and less oily.
almond — clean, smooth, gently sweet.
pistachio — premium pistachio flavor with its natural green color.
cashew — creamy, mild, naturally sweet without any added sugar-heavy feeling.
peanut cacao — real chocolate-peanut comfort, like a cleaner version of chocolate spread.
halva (sesame) — warm toasted tahini notes, great in both sweet and savory dishes.

how to use botenz

how do i use botenz powder?

two main ways:

as a creamy spread — mix roughly equal parts powder and water (or milk) and stir. you'll get a creamy, spreadable nut butter consistency in seconds.

straight into food — scoop it directly into oats, smoothies, yogurt, curd, coffee, lassi, pancake batter, baking, curries, sauces, or desserts. no mixing needed. it just blends in.

can i use botenz in indian recipes?

absolutely — botenz was built for indian kitchens. halva powder goes naturally into sweets and laddoos. peanut powder is great in chikki-style bites, chutneys, and curries. cashew powder adds creaminess to gravies and desserts without needing soaked cashews. pistachio powder works in kulfi, kheer, and barfi. peanut cacao is a cleaner chocolate spread for rotis and parathas.

anywhere you'd use nut butter, ground nuts, or nut paste — botenz fits, with less oil and more real nut flavor per spoon.

can kids eat botenz?

yes (assuming no nut allergy). botenz has no white sugar, no artificial additives, no preservatives, and no mystery ingredients — just real nuts, coconut sugar, and himalayan salt. peanut cacao is a popular choice for parents looking for a cleaner alternative to sugary chocolate spreads.

packaging, storage & ordering

why does botenz come in a glass jar?

three reasons, all real:

health — plastic packaging leaches microplastics into food over time. glass doesn't. since nut powders can sit on a shelf for many months, this matters.
taste — plastic slowly transfers its own flavor into whatever it holds. glass keeps the nut taste exactly as it was the day we packed it.
sustainability — glass is fully recyclable and reusable. we'd rather cost a little more to make the right packaging choice than save money on plastic.

how should i store botenz? how long does it last?

store botenz in a cool, dry place with the lid sealed. no refrigeration needed. each jar has a "best before" date printed on the label — typically around 12 months unopened. once opened, use within a few weeks for best flavor.

where can i buy botenz?

you can order botenz directly from botenz.in. we ship across india.

do you ship outside india?

not yet. currently we only ship within india via botenz.in. international shipping will be handled from a separate dedicated website, which is currently under development. once it's live, we'll start with israel and then expand to other regions.

if you're outside india and want to be notified when international orders open, reach out to us and we'll keep you posted.

From Me to India

I’m Elad Lavi, the founder of Botenz. After living in India, I realized something: people here care about health—but “better-for-you” products here often use the same tricks—just better marketing.

IMG-20250522-WA0042

So I built Botenz for European standards, kept it clean and simple, and focused on nuts—because India already values them as premium nutrition, and we make them even better: more of the good stuff, with much less oil.

Botenz is my mission—to make better nutrition feel normal.
